C-LOG3 Conversion LUT

This is my custom C-LOG3 to Rec709 Converion LUT that I created to help quickly convert your footage back to a normal colorspace and provide a base for your correction and grade! This LUT can be dropped straight onto your footage and adjusted to get the perfect starting point for your clips!

I made my CLOG3 conversion after not getting the results I wanted when using the conversion LUT that came from Canon. As mentioned, this LUT can be dropped right on your footage, or you can apply it and adjust the temperature, highlights, shadows, contrast and saturation to get the best results out of your footage/scene.

*This LUT was made for Canon’s C-LOG3 Picture Profile in the Cinema Gamut color space and made specifically using the Canon R6. I have used this LUT on other Canon cameras using the C-LOG & C-LOG3 profile by adjusting it slightly. While it may work for other Canon cameras and other types of LOG footage, it works the best/easiest with the C-LOG3 profile when using the settings I provide.

To see this LUT in action, be sure to check out the before/after photos as well as the YouTube video linked above.

RUN & GUN GUIDE FOR EXPOSING
For this LUT to give you the best conversion results, expose your footage to 1.5 stops over. Then, this will lay on your footage nicely and give you a great starting point for your color grade!
